Avalon High

Okay, this post was meant to be on The Glass Demon, because that was the book that was reccomended to me by Lydia. However.. the copy of The Glass Demon which is in the library has been out on loan for the past four weeks [!] so I'm just going to do the post on something different...
Okay. So the book is called Avalon High. I finished reading it at five past midnight last night, so its quite fresh in my mind right now. The main character is Ellie, who has just moved from Minnesota to Annapolis, to her new school, Avalon High School.
Everything seems normal at first, the jock, Lance, the cheerleader, Jennifer, the popular quaterback, Will. But then things start to get wierd. Will thinks he's met Ellie before, and Will's step brother starts to stir up the trouble.
The story is really good, I really enjoyed it!! The front cover is not exactly eyecatching, and to be honest it looks a bit babyish. But the plot is AMAZING and I want to read it again already! there was deffinately a lot of suspense, and you could sort of tell where the stroy was going, without it being to predictable. There is a huge climax near the end of the book, and it was actually quite scary!! :O
I think the book was aimed at teenagers, and maybe more at girls than boys, though it is not particularly girly, it is just told from a girls part of view.
The characters in the story were suprisingly believable. It made it sound like the teenagers being re-incarnations of the past ledgends of camelot pretty, well not normal, but, realistic.
The story is set in a pretty normal place, a highschool in America.
I really enjoyed this book, it was a realy good read, and its a brilliant mix of realistic, typical teenage dilemas, and drama that turns strangely scary. I would deffinately recommend this book to any teenage girl, and maybe any teenage boys. :) :) :)
I give this book........ 8.5 out of 10!!!!!!
